Ossianic Tales.

18th cent. Paper. 18 × 12.5 cms. Pp. 10+2 (title-page with verso blank)+237 (scribal pagination, 2-222, continued to 238 in pencil) +15 (blank)+2. Scribe: Séamas Ó Murchadha, 1778 (title-page). Bound in boards with part of paper covering having floral design still attached to both covers. No spinal covering. Some arithmetical calculations on first two and on last two leaves. Different paper in pp. 134-41, 190-221, from that in remainder of manuscript. Leaf 16/17, 3 leaves at beginning and 2 at end loose. A piece of blue paper, 3.5 × 10.5 cms, glued to the verso of the fifth leaf at beginning bears the following note in O'Curry's hand: '12. Curious tales and Adventures of Finn MacCoole'.
