Mount Melleray Abbey is a Cistercian foundation on the slopes of the Knockmealdown Mountains, above the town of Cappoquin, Co. Waterford. It was founded in 1832 following the suppression of the monastery of Melleray in France the previous year.

In addition to the collection of Irish manuscripts, the library at Melleray contains some medieval vellum manuscripts, including a 14th-century Vulgate, and a 12th-century Cistercian antiphoner.

The archive houses the papers of the historian Canon W. P. Burke, sometime Parish Priest of Lismore, and author of Irish priests in Penal times, History of Clonmel, etc.
