It is possible that the one scribe wrote the whole manuscript except f.5v. There are three hands on this page, the first writing the Latin, a love poem from the pen of the owner, "Labhrás Cúimíne" (cf. 7v). At the bottom of the page there is yet another hand and newer ink. It is clear that what is here was in the possession of LabhrásRIA MS 24 P 15 was also in his possession. The pages are held together now between two lavish white leaves. There are seven paper leaves here. Ff. 1, 3 have a connection with RIA MS 24 P 15, (Ff. 3r here follows p. 130 of the latter: cf. RIA Cat. p. 1182). . It is a pity that there are only strips remaining (under half) of theses leaves (8.8" × 5-6.7"). Some leaves are completely worn.The others have a connection with other manuscripts from the same period, according to the penmanship. Written on paper in Irish and Latin by Corc Ú Cadhla and Labhrás Cúimíne at unknown locations in 1583-84 and 1730 respectively it contains religious poetry, (contents are listed on the Irish Script on Screen/ Meamram Paipéar Ríomhaire website under the Catalogue Description for NUIM MS C 97). It is probable that the manuscript was written in total by Corc Ú Cadhla except for f.5v which was written while was in the possession of Labhrás Cúimíne in 1730, a third hand also appears on this page.
