Irish Book Lover xxiv 38-9) which is from pp.101-144not complete. This part was written from 1704-1706 (cf. p. 234 and pp. 5 and 101). A collection is mentioned as reference for poems on p. 33i. The manuscript was in the ownership of Thomas O Henegan in Sligo in 1765 (cf. p.1) and he wrote a little in it. It was later acquired by Terenure College. A letter is pasted to the first page, outside on it is:"Catholic University Manuscript 1876." Inside is:: "Terenure College, May 28th 1876. Dear Dr. Casey, I have much pleasure in giving you this manuscript to be placed in the Library of the Catholic University of Ireland, Yours very truly, A. Farrington, O.C.C." Pages from p.100 were numbered seperately at first but this was cancelled and the manuscript was numbered continuously from the start. It is possible that the scribe made both enumerations. Some of the pages are ruled in ink. Héinrí Ó Carraic (" nó Mac Carrtha ") wrote all the manuscript except the part the owner wrote on the first page and on pp. 1,3. The scribe was always in doubt as to how to spell his name.
